CHAFF/FLARE Dispense button produces issue on CMDS

Press CHAFF/FLARE Dispense button,  then before the countermeasures are empty turn off the mode knob on CMDS panel. 

Select any option, but off, on the mode knob again and CMS-fwd don't release countermeasures anymore.

 

Is this working as expected?
