SaxonRaider Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 This is a great spreadsheet well done. I was wondering if it would be possible to add Range to Airframe data, for example, Ferry Range, With External Tanks, and Combat range. Like what is listed on wikipedia. It would be handy for mission creation. Thanks again!.
some1 Posted October 27, 2024 Author Posted October 27, 2024 Thanks @SaxonRaider The problem with range figures is that they are not really comparable between airplanes, especially airplanes of different type or from different eras. There's many ways range can be measured and it's not always obvious which method, or flight profile, was used to generate the numbers posted in books or wikipedia. Ferry range differs depending on if and how many external tanks were used. Combat range differs depending on what combination of external tanks, weapons and flight profile was used. Combat range figures can also assume X minutes of actual combat in max power/afterburner, or not. Etc. Not to mention the numbers may also be hard to find in the first place, wikipedia does not have them all. 3 Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
ThePops Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Great Just a small thing. A column of VOR would be useful. The F-16 in DCS can do ILS, but cannot receive VOR bearings. Not sure which other planes have the same "feature". 1
