So I have a question about the datalink that I cannot find in the "translated" version of the manual. Now I'm used to the way Global Falcon works, so I have questions on the way it's implemented in DCS BS.

I understand the video on datalinking with 4 AC. How do you determine which 4 AC will be linked together? Is there a frequency you adjust so you can have 2 flights of 4 AC? Do you have to design the mission where you create packages?

Lets say you have 10 KA-50s running a mini-campaign/missions. How would the datalinking work in that scenario? Outside of the obvious 4x4x2 setup, how do you setup datalinking for it?

I was looking back at FC and the multiplayer environment where you had a list of AC and no "packages" per se when joining the server.

Thanks for any info you can provide ED; I know you're busy, hopefully you can spend a few minutes and enlighten a friend.

I think in SP your flight's Ka-50's are simply on your frequency, and that's that.

You can adjust datalink frequency in the cockpit, and in MP you can basically switch between packages if you want, so long as you have LOS and they have an empty spot for you (otherwise you screw up the dlink)

Is there a frequency you adjust so you can have 2 flights of 4 AC?

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Thanks, that's what I was hoping for! I'll look back through the videos and the manual to see if I can find this feature.

I'm not so much concerned with switching in between packages, I was just looking to find out how to have seperate packages datalinked within themsleves without creating packages in the ME.

Thanks again for the quick reply!

First: I really really love this Game:thumbup: (Second: Good to have friends with family in Russia:D)

My question:

How can I make a human 4-ship flight in the Editor?

What I mean is: How can I (we) fly a Mission together, with a link to the other Helo's so I can see them on the ABBRIS?

If I make a new flight, I only can set one Player or Client in a flight.

So, how does it work?

How can I bind several player controlled Helo's to one flight, so they can be seen on the ABBRIS and also can send Targets via the Data Link etc.?
