VapoR Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 I mostly fly the Su-25 and A-10 and I map the ministick on my X-52 to slew the crosshairs for targetting. Problem is, you have to use the radar axes to do so. When I occasionally fly a fighter, I would like to be able to slew the target designator with the ministick. With my microstick mapped to the radar axes, I can't do this. Has this been changed in 1.1?
sida Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 Greetings VapoR There is a better way of doing it without the need to assign lockon axis. Basicaly, ministick will move target box in mode 1/2/3 and Radar axis in mode 1/2/3/ + Pinkie. I found it to be very handy to have both in the sameplace (ministick). 1. Clear radar axis assignment in Lockon options input section 2. Assign the settings in saitek profile manager as from the picture in the link: http://www.damir.co.uk/temp/SIDA-X52-ministick.jpg Notes: -Mode2 and Mode3 are the same settings as Mode1 -Mode2+Pinkie and Mode3+Pinkie are the same as Mode1+Pinkie -Ministick is set as Bands -Deadzone (the band in the middle) is set to "clear assignment" (no command) Deadzone band has to be there, otherwise it will pull on it's own to one side of the screen. Mine is quite wide so it's not so sensitive and prevents unwanted motion to the wrong side of the target. I might give 40%-60% deadzone setting a try since I got used to the feel of ministick by now. I hope this will work for you as it does for me. Sida
VapoR Posted January 23, 2005 Author Posted January 23, 2005 Thanks! This helps quite a bit. I was having trouble figuring out how to map it with bands on the microstick. With my old X-45 I could just map them as buttons.
