Effect for missiles and jets piercing through cloud layer

Hello,

i remember seeing an old  photo of a "big" sam piercing through the cloud layer and thereby seemingly pulling a bit of the cloud with it. Maybe the effect is less pulling of the cloud, but rather the missiles creating new visible vapor in its pass, while traveling fast through areas of higher humidity.

Unfortuantely i cannot find that old picture again, but maybe someone knows if one can expect a visible effect when shooting a big supersonic object through a cloud layer.

If my memory did not fail me and such an effect was indeed realistic, it would surely be a nice effect in DCS.
