The Sborka "Dog Ear" should act as EWR for different point defense systems (SA-13, SA-09, 57mm AAA etc.).

In game it has however no practical effect. It is true, that a given group that is equipped with an Sborka will be quicker to switch to a "ready" state when an aircraft is near, however this has no effect on time to first shot, ROF or accuracy.

I did some tests at night with external lights on/off and in both cases groups without a dog ear performed exactly the same as the control group without a dog ear.

At night with no ext lights on the aircraft all units were still practically blind and only fired when set to highest skill and flying slow and super close to them.

It is very obvious with the Gopher which can use it's own ranging radar at night, that the dog ear does not relay any target position to the units in its group other than putting the group in "ready" state a bit earlier.

To quickly demonstrate the issue put down a group with a sborka "dog ear" and sa-13 gopher (ranging radar equipped IR sam) and set time to some minutes before sunrise. Fly around in range and notice that the group is no real threat until after sunrise. On highest skill level every air defense unit will engage at extremely short ranges, but the existence of an sborka radar has no effect on that.

This is true for all optically guided AAA, SA-9 and SA-13.
