evanf117 Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 i have an idea for a new F-10 map view option it could be called either "local view" or "radius view" and it would show only units within a (specified via slider) radius, it would add some realism over having all units visible but it would allow for people bad at spotting or newer less experienced players to still know whats going on around them 2
Calabrone Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 The idea is interesting especially as an aid for newbies, although in the real world many times inn combat doesn't have the ability to know what's going on around you.
Tippis Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 +1 Fog of war is sort of supposed to sort of do that, but it breaks down in MP where everything being in range of anything shows up for everyone, and the exact limits and mechanisms for determining what is “know“ are themselves unknown (and uncontrollable). This would be more like an individual, controllable fog of war option and that would help a ton with a lot of mission designs. 1 ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves. One cannot land; the other shoots friendlies. You are a Goon. ❧ ❧

TVC Pilot Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Another enhancement for the F-10 map ruler would be to be able to select magnetic or true. Most of the time I use the ruler for direction to an airport. In the Caucuses map, it is always 6 degree's off due to magnetic variation.
