Boosterdog Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 I have a very simple mission where a convoy of FARP vehicles travels around an area and sets up in different locations, begins to broadcast its location before moving on at a set time later and stopping the broadcast if the helo hasnt arrived. The convoy then proceeds to the next location and does the same. The locations themselves are predefined and use an invisible FARP around which the convoy deploys to a template (well kinda deployes to a template). I wondered if it were possible to randomise this over a number of locations. For example, a convoy setting off from A can go to B,C or D whilst a convoy setting off from B may return to A or go to D or X. I dont really want farps to just actvate without the travel as Ideally I want the player to have to sometimes clear the route within a limited time. Am I shooting too high? cfrag Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 If you are using Lua, it should be quite straightforward: collect the various FARPs in an array, pick a new destination other than the one they are at right now (easily to determine: make it that they have to be at least 5 km away from it), then set that as the new destination. Once they reach that destination, rinse and repeat. You don't need to to use invisible FARPS, you could also use zones, as all you need is the location to move to - the zone's center point. Without Lua, it's probably going to be a bit more involved - but we have true ME wizards here who may have a hint or two. 1
