Tank50us Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Mods, If this is in the wrong place, please move it. Hey guys, Cmdr Davonger from the 145th reporting in. I am pleased to announce that on Thursday, at 1600hrs US Central Standard Time, the 145th PMC Group will be hosting a special Eight Hour long mission. The objective will be to protect one of Santas Workshops in the Caucuses from the Troll and Ogre Alliance. This mission is an open invitational, and all will be permitted to join. It is a PvE Styled mission, and many aircraft will be available to fly. Why Eight Hours you ask? Well, it was designed for people to use to stream, and maybe even host a charity stream. Although we are too small to be effective at that, we really encourage anyone who wishes to use this mission as a backdrop for a charity stream to come in and fly. The Mission is designed to end at Midnight US Central Time, as the last transport leaves for the North Pole. If anyone would like to take part, please comment below, or join our Discord. Our Discord link is: https://discord.gg/PffhWvKt I really hope to see you all there. It's shaping up to be one heck of a mission. Dav Out. 3
Tank50us Posted December 21, 2021 Author Posted December 21, 2021 (edited) Update to this mission. Screenshots to come later. The actual mission is mostly put together, and in-house testing will likely commence very, very soon. Because I'm not sure who will turn up, how many, or what they'll have, I've placed down dozens of aircraft spawns. Aircraft that will be available include: F/A-18C Hornet F-14A and B Tomcat F-15C Eagle Su27 and J-11 Flanker Mig-29A, G, and S Fulcrums F-16C Viper A/V-8BNA Harrier Mirage 2000C AJS-37 Viggin Mig-21 Fishbed (with nukes disabled) F-5E Tiger A-10A, C, and CII Thunderbolt 2 (Warthog) Su33 Naval Flanker (only on the Kuznetsov 2017) JF-17 Thunder Su25T Frogfoot (28 total planes!) Su25A Frogfoot Mi24P 'Hind' Mi8 'Hip' All of the Gazelles UH-1H Huey KA50 Hokum To avoid fratricide risk as much as possible, none of the RedFor equipment resembles BlueFor equipment. But the threats to us include: HJ-6/Tu-16 'Badger' Bombers Su34 Fighter Bombers Su30 Flankers (they come up as '30' on RWR) F-4E Phantom IIs Tu22M3 Backfires Mig25 Foxbats Mig31 Foxhounds Mig23 Flogger Mig27 Flogger Delta Mi28 'Havok' Ka27 Helix T-55 Medium Tanks T-72B Main Battle Tanks BM-30 Smerch Rocket Artillery ZSU-23-4 SHilka SA-15 Tor SA-19 Tunguska SA-11 Buk BMP-2s and 3s BTR-82 2S19 Mista Tube Artillery ZSU-57-2 Assorted 'redfor' Warships, including the Type071 LSD, Kirov-Class Guided Missile Battlecruiser, and assorted smaller vessels. Numbers of enemy units are significant, but spawns are staggered to avoid the potato PCs from cooking The mission is scripted to last a total of 8 hours, possibly longer. Once the HV Aircraft are airborne and out of the airspace, the mission will automatically end. Attack waves are broken up by airfield. To allow people the time they need to start their planes, no spawns will happen until the first aircraft enters the runway at each airfield. Novo and Gelen are however treated as a single objective, wit mostly Helicopters (with some of the Viggens) operating from Novo, and Fixed-wing aircraft at Gelen. The objectives are as follows: Alpha: Protect Krymsk from air and land incursion. Bravo: Protect Novorossiysk and Gelendzihik from Air, Land, and Sea incursion Charlie: Gain and maintain air superiority. Protect Anapa from air attack. Provide support to Alpha and Bravo as needed Delta: Maintain a safe corridor for Santa Flight to leave. Protect the fleet from Air and Sea attack Provide Support for Alpha, Bravo, or Charlie as needed. Situation Report: As Christmas draws near, Santa Elves have been hard at work making sure toys for all the kids of the world are ready to be sent out. However, every year, Trolls and Ogres have attempted to disrupt their operations, and after their noticeable success in 2020, the Workshop team has decided to not take any chances, and have spread their operations out across the globe, turning the main workshop in the North Pole into a distribution hub of sorts. While the North American, Asian, African, and South American locations have all managed to meet their quotas, and send the toys to the North Pole, with the help of the USAFs massive airlift capability, the two European Workshops are experiencing delays. The one in France has managed to get back on track with the help of the locals, the one here in the Caucuses is seeing delays due to bad weather, as well as attacks by the newly dubbed Troll and Ogre Alliance (TOA). With the deadlines fast approaching, the workshops here in the Caucuses can not afford any more delays, and this shipment will be the last heading to the North Pole. If the TOA are successful, it will ruin the Christmases for an estimated 35,000,000 children. We cannot let them down. Pilots from all over the world, new, old, active, and retired have answered the call to protect this workshop. Each is being paid a bar of gold worth an estimated $3,000,000 US Dollars if the TOA can be stopped from disrupting these shipments to the North Pole. The Elves here have been hard at work, and have managed to set up a production line of aircraft for every pilot. A joint Battlegroup has formed off the coast to provide carrier support for the operation, and ground forces are being sent out to cover the likely avenues of approach for TOA Ground Forces. HAWK and Patriot SAM batteries have also been established, but they will need our help to keep the skies clear of TOA Aircraft and Helicopters. The TOA are going to be throwing everything they have, and with the help of the BahHumbug Corporation, they have the equipment to match ours in combat. This fight will not be an easy one. We must protect the workshops and convoys as they head to fill up the transports. NOTAM: Weather: Clouds around 11,000ft Winds 4-8kts heading 040. Temps are just above freezing at the airfields, be sure to turn on your de and anti-icing equipment. Weapons: The Elves have supplied us with an absolute abundance of all the ordinance we could use. Nuclear weapons are not available It is advised to avoid the use of Cluster munitions near friendly forces or populated areas. Aircraft: Walk-arounds are still advised, the Elves know a thing or two about making toys, but only took a crash course in modern avionics All Aircraft are starting cold and dark Expect some areas to be a bit crowded. Use caution when taxiing. Ground Forces: Allied units are comprised of the following: M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks M60A3 Patton Tanks Chieftain Main Battle Tanks M2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles M109A6 Paladin Self-Propelled Artillery Avenger Short-range SAMs Gepard SPAAGs Vulcan Air Defense Systems Assorted Anti-ship Batteries Convoys will consist of the following: HMMWV leading and trailing M989 5t Trucks in the middle No Allied Helicopters, except those used by us are expected in the AO. However an Plane Guard will be hovering near the carriers, and the MEU may send in reinforcements as needed. Transports to the North Pole are C-130 Hercules Aircraft Active Runways are: Anapa: Runway 22 Novo: Runway 22 Gelen: Runway 22 Krymsk: Runway 22 I hope this helps those wishing to join. Keep in mind, that this information is subject to change, however at this point, it may not be changed by much, if at all. I hope to see many of you there as possible! Let's make sure that those children get a HoHoHo Christmas, instead of a Ho-Hum Christmas! To further that cause in the real world, I will be running a stream from my end to donate to the USMC Toys for Tots program. Because I think every child should be able to enjoy this holiday season, no matter their faith or nationality. Edited December 23, 2021 by Tank50us 2
