If you are having difficulty with the SAMs in my original free Serpent's Head Campaign Mission 3 this my well be of help. 

It shows how the SAMs can be avoided by using a vertical manoeuvre.

My two cents here : I struggled as well but I found a neat way to stay alive . Keep your jammer ON (XMIT position), set your CM to Auto1 (you can modify your Chaff load if you want, but not needed ) and keep low and super fast. I managed to stay on the line and 5Nm before the WPT4 , i pulled to reach 1000ft RA .

 

I can't wait to do your SH2 campaign !

Glad you got through the mission, can be a bit of a trial.
Serpent’s Head 2 is the next campaign in the series, followed by Rise of the Persian Lion then Rise of the Persian Lion 2 and finally Operation Green Line. They all have a continuous plot line and will get more difficult as you progress through them, ideal for getting you more and more accomplished with the Hornet.
