Please move the ME "DELETE" button away from the rest of the options

I dont know how many times I carefully craft something then called up the objects box only to hit the delete button by mistake.

With no "undo" option, its a bit of a nulclear switch.

Please could it be moved to a discete area away from the rest of the tool options. There is sufficient space.

TBH, the entire tool palette could use a little development love. Some of the most precious screen estate (upper left corner - precious because sides and corners are essentially "infinitely sized" targets in UI design; they are therefore easy to hit) are given to marginal-use items like 'new' or 'open'. Ask yourself: how many times during a typical mission edit session have you hit one of those two buttons? Yet, they occupy the most valuable slots. Other obscure buttons like Battlefield Commanders, Mission Briefing, Weather, or Mission Goals have similar prominence. There's even a button to change faction set-up, which I needed exactly once in my life (and then it didn't exist, go figure 🙂), while the most important buttons (placing units or editing triggers) are at difficult-to hit middle position. And yes, thrown into the mix are dangerous (not un-doable) buttons like delete - which nobody ever clicks except by accident (because everyone simply hits the delete button on the keyboard when they want to delete a unit).

I recommend that we relegate seldom-used buttons like 'new', 'open', 'Commanders', etc. to their menus (where they already rightfully exist, along with their keyboard short cuts), and change the tool palette to contain only often-used, with bigger (easier to hit) targets. Buttons like: place units (air-helo-ground-sea) and place objects (also separate air-helo-ground-sea), place trigger zones, edit triggers. Add new buttons for Line, Poly, Text and Icon Map Objects. Remove all non-essential buttons (and yes, Delete until we have undo. And when we have undo, please place the shortcut icon somewhere safe). Non-essential buttons to me are buttons that you do need regularly - they already have their own menu item, so few people would ever miss them. Do we really need a Bullseye button that does nothing except open a gigantic side bar to show data that could be much easier be seen in a hover toot-tip? Why can't we just click on a bullseye on the map to get similar information as we would when we click into unit? After all, bullseyes behave like units in all other aspects. And so on.

Don't get me wrong - I love ME; I regularly spend hours inside it. It just pains me to see that it could be so much better with comparatively little effort. Here's hoping that ED can divert some time to one of DCS most under-rated crown jewels.
