SpeedDemonAdam Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Recently inspired by a video showing install of the CoreHawk3D Impluse Slider for the T1600m throttle. I used a few spare magnets to make a AB detent in my t1600m here's a few shots of what and how I did it. Note I eventually added a washer to the slider and moved that magnet about 2mm inward. My magnets were about 2mm thick, thicker ones would work better. I used superglue to adhere them.
RandyRVA Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 That's pretty cool! A couple of questions on this: First, how do you know where to put the detent (how far back)? Second, how are you setting this up in the controls? This looks interesting provided it works well. I've just been using mapped finger lifts on the hotas. SpeedDemonAdam Posted September 6, 2022 Author Posted September 6, 2022 If you have the standard throttle mapping just push it up till the AB engages then pull it just back till its off and tape it in place. Once taped in place you can take the base off and mark where the carriage is then pick a spot to put the magnets.
ricktoberfest Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 This is a great idea! You can also use axis curves to fine tune individual aircraft AB positioning.
