tusler Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) I was in the local hobby store the other day and found a model with a picture on the front of the box that looked like the BS rotor system mounted on a LHX airframe. Is this for real or just a fantasy model? Image45.jpg Edited December 5, 2008 by tusler Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:! GGTharos Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Am I to assume that people haven't done the least bit of homework on their part then? :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
nscode Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 I'm doing my homework now.. makeing a Yacc definition for a microC to hypothetical assembler compiler. Usefull, isn't it :) Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
RedTiger Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 (edited) Models of fantasy aircraft made to look like fairly realistic and like they might actually exist is nothing new. As described in Tom Clancy's "Red Storm Rising": http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/portland/971/Inbox/d-f/f-19_48-i.htm Since everyone would probably shun a third-party F-22, some third party needs to make the F-19 "Frisbee" for DCS! :pilotfly: Edited December 6, 2008 by RedTiger
GGTharos Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 That's pretty cool actually. :) I'm doing my homework now.. makeing a Yacc definition for a microC to hypothetical assembler compiler. nscode Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Yea.. I wanted to take on a project of modifing it so that the target is MIPS assembler, that would be even cooler... but I'm afraid I haven't got the time :( I would be doing it in January, and I plan on flying BS at that time :D Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
GGTharos Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Compilers have always been a #)($*)#(*$ ... I had to write one from scratch, but it was a long time ago and I remember almost nothing of it, except having to manipulate a lot of trees and that it worked in the end ;) Hehe, good luck with that and have fun flying BS :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
