Flyby Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 (edited) Actually it's PPRuNE; "Professional Pilots Rumor Network" I thought some might find it interesting. I found the link over at SimHq. There was a thread there discussing the War for the Malvenas/Falkland war:http://www.pprune.org/military-aircrew/297920-falklands-crash-sites.html There's also a forum there for rotorheads. Well, here's the link to the main forum page. Good hunting!:D http://www.pprune.org/ Flyby out Edited December 10, 2008 by Flyby The U.S. Congress is the best governing body that BIG money can buy.
mikoyan Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 (edited) thanks for sharing, this very interesting and sad, because those pilots that died all of them were and good people that loved to fly. Edited December 11, 2008 by mikoyan
Flyby Posted December 11, 2008 Author Posted December 11, 2008 Flying military aircraft is inherently a hazardous job. I think we only rarely hear about the true casualty rate for military aircraft in peace time. Flying combat missions only heightens the hazard. But these pilots do their duty, and some die. Perhaps there is something noble in that. Perhaps not, but at least they fly! For that alone I admire them, regardless of country.
