crazysundog Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 The Hover mode has done this to me also. For whatever reason, without me touching anything the Yaw, pitch and Bank channel disengage (Alt channel is unaffected), funny enough i am usually zoomed in concentrating on the SKHVAL when this happens. Cue wild flailing of a KA-50 as i try to restore my view and regain control of an epileptic helicopter. Nate I should mention that hover mode is still engaged when this happens. I must remember to save the track next time this happens Such issues may be a lot easier to diagnose if a track is provided. Note, if you do provide a track, try to make it short and directly relevant to the issue. Ok, just saved a track of this happening to me. In a hover; slewing the skvhal, 3 AP channels disengage. Will post when i get home from work.
DragonRR Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I have had the same issue with the yaw pitch and bank APs disengaging but I'd put it down to them being switched off after (or while) I turn off auto-hover, reading this post makes me think that it's happening before that and I'm just not noticing it. crazysundog Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 OK, here is a track that shows the Bank, Pitch, and Yaw autopilot channels being turned off while using the skhval and laser designating. Notice the Altitude hold channel remains on. Perhaps this thread belongs in the 'bugs' forum? Ok forget it, apparently the track is too large to upload!!?? How do I make it smaller??
danny875 Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Yep this also happens to me usually when I'm zoomed in and designating targets, doesn't matter if auto turn to track is on or not either. Annoying but not always fatal! I just think of it as practice yaw turning at a high rate of descent! Lol.
Mugatu Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Yep same here 3 channels turned off, only the alt channel remained on.
