Radio Commands?

Have only had the game for a day or two now .. but cant seem to get the raido commands to work.

Hit " \ " get the drop down menu but then the only thing that works is F1 key , cant get any of the other commands to go through . instead when i hit any keys F2-F12 it flicks random switches in the cockpit . Did I miss something to use radio commands ?

figured it out, have to have F-lock on my keyboard on so it reads the function keys. well hope this helps someone else .
