TomcatFly Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Hi, Leap Motion for me works very well (of course considering to have necessary space in front and pedestal areas) and I'm happy of theeven improved relaism it can give to such a great sim. Of course I'm aware there are still some issues here and there, I tried to make a simple list below: 1) Every time I open a DCS sim session, to make hands appearing I have to tick - in VR special menu - the Leap Motion Enable setting. As if, DCS would not save Leap Motion tick state of previous DCS session. 2) After enabling Leap Motion its sub-settings do not act at all like their state (these settings remained set as previous DCS sessions anyway). So, every time, to let them be coherent with their indicated function it's necessary to tick/untick all of them, then leaving them to the desire tick/untick state. From that point on, all is coherent, unless you touch the settings in the scroll down list at the bottom, if so it's again necessary to repeat the procedure. 3) As it's known, sometimes during flight for some time one hand disappear. It seems not disappearing anymore if I tick the "use hand for stick" and "use hand for throttle" settings, but this makes flying the aircraft (with normal phisical stick and throttle of course) sometimes little problematic if one or other hand links to stick or throttle of course, even if not such a drastic problem. Wishlist: 1) Possibility to make hands not disappearing (work reliably) even with the settings described above unticked, so without the stick and throttle control tick boxes set 2) Avoid the necessary Leap Motion Enable tick box setting every time DCS Open Beta is re-opened 3) I personally think that flying aircraft with Leap Motion hands linked on stick or thorttle is not practical nor precise enough, so I'd personally suggest to remove these 2 features or - in other words - remove the unwanted linking of the hands on stick and/or throttle levers (maybe this helping in avoiding hands sometimes disappearing too?) 4) It would be great to find a way to be able to play with rotary knobs/selectors in an easy and reliable way too. As they say, "just my 2 cents" 2
