Hi, how can I assign throttle to idle on the winwing F-18 HOTAS for the F5? It does not have the same .lau code options as the F18….

I want it so lifting the finger lifts and bringing the throttle from stop forwards initiates the throttle to idle key Bind, but the finger lifts only register as a DX button when they are closed, not opened?

thanks

Should be:

  • Throttle (Left) - OFF/IDLE
  • Throttle (Right) - OFF/IDLE

Those are defined in the \joystick\default.lua actions file for the F-5E so they should work for a generic joystick. If those aren't visible or available commands there might be an overriding device-specific .lua.

My understanding of the Super Taurus throttle is that after a certain firmware update the 1 & 2 buttons are held when at the OFF position. These should be held down while the left and right handles are in the OFF position and should be bound to the actions named above.

cool, let me look into this. Does that mean that they should turn engines of when lifted into the off ( back ) position and turn on when brought forward ?
