Help request

I was mapping my joystick in the options menu of the english version, and somehow not paying attention, I deleted all the keyboard commands, apparently with the clear category button. Not seeing any other remedy, i went through and restored each command individually using the default button. When i saved it, a message was displayed stating 408 keyboard commands were invalid. I looked and every command with a modifier is now shown in red. I assume that default resets the commands correctly so Im stumped. Does anyone know how i can repair this, aside from doing a reinstall ?
