Mission Editor and Ground Units

I have found that when i place a group of units on the map and assign them way points to move to certain place on the map they will not do it unless the distance is under approximately 5000m What is this about, can someone explain? I have spent 3 hours building a escort mission and now the ground units are too lazy to go the whole distance. :mad:
