Hi.

Im not a technician, so plz excuse my laymans terms.

A few buttons on my WH throttle are not working properly.

That are (mostly) the Chinahat, then the Boatswitch, the speedbrake and the Cooliehat.

Looking at the windows-gameconrolles-page, sometimes all is ok and every push of a button caused the related dot to flash red, but then again pushing one button (eg speedbrake out) causes also other button´s dots to flash. Somehow it seems those buttons influence each other. Looking a the cable inside the right Throttle-grip, they look ok. Maybe a bit twisted, but I cant see a part, where there could be a short between two cables. Since I had the TDC-mod mounted, I could have damaged a cable though.

One thing, that often triggers those problems is, when I quickly pull back the throttle-grips. (Often after releasing a guided rocked in the A-10, I slow down to stay farther away while still lasing. Thats when this occures quite often)

To me this could be the explaination for my problem, because the cable (7 leads) for those buttons run through the right throttle-grip and pulling the grip back, might bend a damaged cable to trigger a wrong impulse. But I cant see a damage on the cables. Maybe its under the sleeve, when its routed through the narrow lower part of the throttle-grip.

I already have new throttle ordered, but I somehow think, this could be solveable.

Anyone can give me advice or input on this?

Thx.

Could be a trip point for a sketchy wire... at full throttle it's making contact, when you reduce throttle (postion) the wire angle changes and it opens.  Or your motherboard in your controller is going bad.

Thx.

Since I now have a new throttle (No 147xxx vs ~ 39xxx on the old) I will try to exchange the cable in the old one. May take some time though.

have got my throttle buttons working perfectly again, I opened the Windows calibration via joy.cpl in the run window. As I checked all the switches on the right throttle numerous buttons were being activated when I pressed for example button 7, same for all the other buttons the numbers were flashing on and off as if I was pressing them. I recalibrated the throttle with the Windows calibration tool and bingo all working as it should. Very strange that this happened but just a heads up to anyone who comes across this problem.
