Top Gun adversary squadrons, need explanation

Good day guys. Please tell me what other squadrons besides VFC-13 are used in Top Gun as adversary (flown by instuctors)?
Are VFC-111 sundowners, VFC-12 Omars, VFC-204 and VF-45 etc top gun squadrons or not?
Top Gun school is based only in NAS Fallon or has its branches in different places in the USA, for example VFA-127 Desert Bogeys from Arizona was a top gun squadron or not?

I saw many photos of the f-16 and f-18 from NAWDC with the topgun logo on the tail but without the alphanumeric squadron designation. What kind of squadrons are these?

How are they different from vfc13 ?

Afaik actually the squadron at NAS Fallon located as follows:

VFC-13 (Saints) with F-5N which had replaced the disestablished VFC-127

No Top Gun SQNs:

VFC-12 (F-18A) are US Navy Reserve Fighter Squad (NAS Oceana)

VFC-111 (F-5N) as originally known as Fighter Composite Squadron 13 (VFC-13) Detachment Key West, which was established in January 2006. VFC-13 Det Key West was redesignated as VFC-111 in November 2006

VFC-204 in April 2022, plans emerged that VFA-204 will be redesignated Fighter Squadron Composite 204 in October 2022 and that the squadron is slated to transition to the F-5N, with the required aircraft being transferred from VFC-13, already said Navy adversary squadron. On NAS Fallon based VFC-13 will in turn receive recently retired F-16s from the USAF

VF-45 was disestablished in March 1996

 

This wouldn't explain the appearance of your S/N's but the logo, but it maybe helps you to sort the actual status of said squadrons.
