Lock On: Modern Air Combat not working

I bought this game 2 weeks agao. On the disk it says it's for system xp/me/98/95 and it it version 1.00.0. I installed it. I realized I needed a graphics card. So i installed on that works great. Only problem is that The game still won't work. I down loaded patches from Lo-Mac and still won't work correctly. I am trying to remove the game so i can reinstall it, but I get a message that "Install Sheild has encountered a problem and needs to close". I tried to manually remove files, but there is one that comes up on the Add and Remove programs, and i am still getting that same message. How can I get this off so i can reinstall this game??

If you've manually removed files by way of an un-install attempt, AFAIK you're going to stuff up a clean un-install anyway.

If editing the Registry is scary, then here's a link to a tool that supposedly does the same job... I haven't an opinion on it as I haven't used it (although I've used something similar in the past) ... you should probably do a little research first, or maybe someone else here can point you in a good direction.

Finally ... once you're squared up @ step one again you need to identify that you have the required hardware and software to run the simulation as advertised. It sounds like you got caught short initially without a good enough graphics card! Do a search of the forums and see what specs other people have for their gaming platform for Lock On.
