With 3rd party lasing for this missile, does the missile have to see the target prior to launch, or can it be lofted?

In DCS it doesn't even launch until it tracks a laser iirc. So it would have to see the target first.

LG Mavs that we have don't have a LOAL capability. It depends on the laser to tell it where it's supposed to go, Maverick's guidance was never designed to fly anywhere on its own.
