Where do you get the option to enter "3"? I'm using the am manual frequency dial, (left cockpit) and the choices there are: 00, 25, 50 and 75.

nullI see the confusion, : decimal point is not represented and should be after the firs three digits: on the manual example, frequency is 12 4. 0 00 So in our case, digits should read 14 4. 3 00

(if this is indeed the radio you use)
