DEWorley Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 during my last mission, black shark stopped responding & i had to use task manager to close it. ever since then my saitek X52 throttle controlls the throttles (as indicated by the in-cockpit view) not the collective! i've cleared & remaped the axis in the game control profiler several times & the 'tune axis' shows the movement of the joystick & the windows game controller shows all the axis working fine. i've been using this setup since i installed the game on 12/11 with no problems.
-Nighthawk- Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Use Saitek profiler to create a profile for the joystick. Under the "Throttle" section change the mode to "Directional Axis", you will then see to extra boxes appear being "Throttle+" and "Throttle-" In "Throttle+" add the key command "Num+" and under "Throttle-" add the key command "Num-". Save and launch your profile, now it will work fine.
DEWorley Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 thanks, i'll give that a try but i didn't do this before & it's worked fine until tonight.
DEWorley Posted December 30, 2008 Author Posted December 30, 2008 sorry nighthawk, that didn't work. the joystick throttle axis (z) works fine in the game controller profile (tune axis) as the game collective control but in the ccokpit it moves the throttle levers not the collective stick. it looks like another un/re-install!
-Nighthawk- Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Remove the Z axis from the axis commands in DCS, then apply it through profiler. That way there are no conflicts between the Saitek software and the DCS software
