  1. and another difference, my ps2 connector was light grey.
  2. miky, now i understand, on mine that whole area was filled with hot glue!
  3. miky, if you take out the phillips screw on side of the extension tube you can removed the extension cap from the tube. be carefull as there are short wires inside. then you can see the backside of the ps2 connector, thats where the hot glue is.
  4. zahry, how do we set the extension to the 20' offset?
  5. miky, mine was hot glued in. i just just cut the hot glue loose from the ps2 connector & extension top with a heavy duty exacto knife. then pulled the loose hot glue out with needle nose pliers. once the hot glue was out i applied some firm pressure to the front of the ps2 shell & gently twisted the ps2 connector body.
  6. got my extension today. initially the buttons were not working. disassembled the extension top, removed the hot glue, removed 3mm off the connector plastic housing, removed a little off the inside of extension top to allow space for a wire soldered to the connector shell, replaced the hot glue & now it works. thanks
  7. i used some M4 (i think) machine screws to displace the joystick base from the plate about 4 inches. i place the plate under my thighs with the stick between my thighs & it's just about the right height, at least for me. it's quick & cheap.
  8. got it thanks, i finally realized you could click on the box & select the trackir axis
  9. i set my tracifk z axis to zoom & the throttle incr/decr slide to fore/aft shift (which is the default trackir z axis)
  10. i raised the joystick about 2 inches off the baseplate by using 2 inch long 4mm machine screws between the plate & joystick mount. now i place the baseplate under my thighs and the joystick is about the right height between them.
  11. I use it for absolute longitudinal head position in the cockpit & use TIR as my zoom
  12. is there a way to use the trackir z as zoom & use a rotary as translation in the z axis?
  13. i recieved mine today, shipped from PA yesterday & arrived here in northeast MD today (FedEx).
  14. i'm running the 32 bit beta in Win7 64 & can't get the game to recongnize my TrackIR, do you guys do something special to enable it? the enhanced game blue light doesn't light either.
  15. i had to set my trackir exe to run as admin to get fc2 to recongnize mine.
  16. i had to run both trackir & fc2 exe 'as administator' to get trackir to work in fc2.
  17. phoenix, thanks that seems to have fixed it.
  18. i've just installed Flaming Cliffs 2 over a new Lock-On install & my Track IR doesn't work in FC2. It works fine in Rise of Flight, ArmA2 & every other game i've tried. i looked for the 2 TrackIR files which needed to be deleted in FC1 to get TrackIR to work but can't find them in FC2. Any ideas?
  19. i had the same problem, only a un-install/re-install fixed it.
  20. if it loses the speed in sharp turns, it may be because the doppler radar in the tail (?)isn't pointed at the ground at that point.
  21. reaper, i'm not using any external software to program the joystick, only the in-game setup screen. years ago i enjoyed programming & fine tuning my setup, usually i used 'foxy', i think it was called, but now i just want to get it running good enough.
  22. mastiff, i'm not sure what you mean by 'go through the Axis's list'. i don't have any game function assigned to more than 1 joystick button or vice versa.
