GBU-24 Lasing time

When do you or when is the correct time range to start lasing your target with the GBU-24? I ask bc the GBU 10 and 12 the USAF manuals say 8 to 12 seconds before impact. I have tried this with the GBU-24 and it goes dumb or goes lost. Wags vids and others start lasing straight away once off rack... Please advise

PWIII should generally be lased the entire time. PWIII has the ability to fly an efficient path not direct to laser and to reacquire an interrupted laser.
