MetalRhino Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 When comparing already beautiful Mirage F1s models in DCS with my old photos from Reims AFB and consulting it with my aviation friends it seems there are some inacurracies... It looks like all F1 versions 3D models have wrong angle of intake, which is now 90 degrees. In reality, it seems intake is slightly angled down (upper part slightly forward). On attached screenshots marked red (wrong) and on real life photos marked green (correct). Bigger issue seems on F1B models. It looks like there is missing part between rear canopy and wing. B version could be a little longer, maybe..? Its marked with green box on photo vs red line on 3D ingame model. Photos are leveled like 0 AOA, not the ground horizon to fit the comparison. I know its still WIP, but hope this helps fine tuning 3D model... 2
Solution Fox One Posted August 18, 2022 Solution Posted August 18, 2022 Comparing the nearly perfect profile picture of the B model posted above by MetalRhino with DCS model, IMO the accuracy of the front cockpit canopy and the transparent part between cockpits leaves something to be desired. Also the angle of windshield arch appears slightly off. 3 My DCS videos
WR269 Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 yeah, and I wish they would include an ashtray in the cockpit...how dare they! 2
