When the JF-17 was first released, we could put the BRM-90s on the inner pylons but was later removed. Will this functionality be returning at any point? It was really nice putting those pods on the inner pylons so that more missiles could be carried on the outer pylons.

Thank you for the module!

It wont happen because its a real life limitation. It was removed because the exhaust of the BRM's would enter the engine intakes causing it to stall. That's also the reason why the JF-17 cant carry any rockets or missiles at the inner pylons besides the ones that first free fall and then ignites their engines.

Technically, you could most likely put BRM-90's on inner pylons. But Deka would then need to simulate engine stalls when used. Easier to just remove them as no one IRL would use them from inner pylons.

On a side note, is the BRM-90 fielded and used by any country IRL? Or did they just pass certification to be carried? Just curious as I have yet to see BRM pods mounted on JF17. From what I understand, the WMD-7 targeting pod is not even used operationally.

There's photos of them mounted on a WZ-10

Makes sense, considering it's equivalent to American APKWS (except based on bigger rocket) which is used on Apaches and AH-1Z

They already added engine stall from intake exhaust. Go ahead and launch an SD10 or LD10 and it will stall the engine.

No they didn't, it's an automatic system that throttles back the engine to prevent stalling.

The engine is not stalling every time you shoot a missile.

Supposedly that's the anti-surge kicking in, but turning it off does nothing.
