A-20 not bombinb

I have a simple mission set up where I want a two-ship of A-20s to attack a couple ships. They line up, open their bay doors, begin to dive, and then just bail and break away and close their doors. Then they circle around and do it again. Over and over. 

This happen to anyone else? I want to get them to drop their bombs on the ships, then continue attacking with their cannons.
