Kurtz Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Ive been downloading some custom missions from this thread and ive noticed a few people are editing these custom missions for coop play. Ive edited some missions already but im pretty sure the triggers arnt all working, so i guess im doing something wrong. Ive been opening missions with the mission editor and deleting the original flight as it only allows me to add one client? 1. Can the original flight be left intact and 4 clients be added? After I delete the original flight I add 4 flights of one client and a set of waypoints. I guess this is the incorrect method. 2. Could somebody please give a brief step by step method of modding a singleplay mission to coop? Thx :)
Dusty Rhodes Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 You can only have on Client in each flight. So for four players you need to have 4 different flights. To port a mission over, you need to dissect what the mission builder has done so you get the full effects of the goodies they put in. STP Dragon Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 (edited) @ Shadow: Yes it is. @ Kurtz: - Take the original mission and delete your edited one. - Don't delete the whole flight. Delete only the wingmans. Don't remove the "Player-Ka-50" else the important triggers will be deleted too. - Add a new Ka-50 to the map by clicking the helo-icon of the left menu and choose "Ka-50" as type and "Client" as skill. - Add the same waypoints to this new Ka-50 like the original "Player-Ka-50". - Add a unique name, a default payload, a skin, ... - Do this as many as numbers of clients you want to have. It is important that you add a new Ka-50 (flight) for each client, rename it and add waypoints. - Open the triggereditor and search for triggers like "Unit in zone", "Unit out of zone" or "Unit dead" which includes the original "Player-Ka-50" and add the same trigger for each "Client-Ka-50" you added.
