ROI- “only engage in zone”

In order to model airspace. Add Possibility to create trigger zones which would limit engagement area. Such as a SAM group will not shoot at a enemy aircraft until it enters the zone and will stop shooting if the same aircraft leaves the zone. Like wise an aircraft would break off engagement/pursuit of aircraft if it leaves the zone

This already exists in the form of Search Then Engage in Zone. Though there might be a little bit of extra functionality to be gained if this could be tied to trigger zones. You can also tie it to RoE via trigger. Hold Fire when X is out of zone, weapons free when in.

By the way, you may not want to have the attacker stop when something leaves the zone. If the on/off decisions are both on the boundary you can get erratic behavior when something just skims the boundary or leaves and enters repeatedly. This is why Search Then Engage have a disengage range of 150% the engage range (though this is sometimes excessive and an option to control it would be nice).

If s&e in zone would work with SAM groups this would be a solution. ROI doesn’t really work the way I would want it to because I don’t want them engaging a tanker 50 miles away
