Tiger-II Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 (edited) The night lighting generally looks OK. The nav lighting in the sea for shipping looks absolutely amazing. The lighting at airfields, and particularly buildings, looks like it is on fire. Performance at night is lower than the day, suggesting the light sources are attempting to illuminate massive distances. The JF-17 is not better than the F-16; it's different. It's how you fly that counts. "An average aircraft with a skilled pilot, will out-perform the superior aircraft with an average pilot."

From what I can tell, the South Atlantic is mostly using default DCS lights, like every map but the SoH/PG map. Unfortunately these lights are in dire need of updating to the SoH/PG standard, which look much better without compromising on range or performance. And yes the lateral marks are a very nice touch - I wish more maps did them. The only problem with them though is that the last time I checked the lights disappear at quite close distances and on the model (which is fixed in space regardless of sea state) appear to be floating about a metre above it. 1 Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk.
