9400F mini ITX build. RTX 3600. I like to run 1440p with as much eye candy as possible.

The age old question. Faster or more ram. Do ream timing really make a difference?

Or cpu upgrade to a 9900k...?

rephrase it to...32 or 64GB RAM.

16GB & eye candy...ehhh, no.

Yeah, so I noticed. I'm selling off some old equipment, looks like I can get 32GB of 2666MHz DDR4. That will have to do for now.

64GB all the way, worry about the speed and budget later, you'll save yourself so much hassle with checking if things are over the limit, pagefile and all that. Computers meant to use RAM, not pagefile of a HDD/SSD.

EDIT:

I'm talking about DCS in mind by the way, on a modern main PC, as PC support on a gaming platform I think should be around the game, not in general. Otherwise nevermind then. There's more appropriate places for general PC support, IDK why people don't look those up first.
