Squid Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Your opinion / experience on this ... The system is a Q6600 @3Ghz, 2Gb DDR2 Ram 1066Mhz, 8800GTS 512, playing on 1024x768. With everything maxed out in the LO graphics control panel, what you think should be the expected framerate range? lets say the average FPS close to / over urban areas, and the minimum fps that i should see in the fps counter. . i7 880 | HD 7870 | 8 Gb DDR3 1600 | ECS P55H-A | OCZ Vertex 2 180 | Intel 330 180 | WD 500 AAKS | 2x WD 2T Green | Enermax Liberty 620 | CH Combatstick & Throttle | TrackIR 3 | HP ZR24W | Windows 7 x64
redeagleGER Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 cant tell u values but its defenitly enough for a realy smooth game if u tweak your LODs properly and set lockon on a single core just my 2cents 2 [sIGPIC]http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/5156/sig1ck8.jpg[/sIGPIC]
Squid Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 - some info more on the process of tweaking the LODs? :) - what are the benefits of giving single core affinity to LO? :) . i7 880 | HD 7870 | 8 Gb DDR3 1600 | ECS P55H-A | OCZ Vertex 2 180 | Intel 330 180 | WD 500 AAKS | 2x WD 2T Green | Enermax Liberty 620 | CH Combatstick & Throttle | TrackIR 3 | HP ZR24W | Windows 7 x64
Squid Posted January 11, 2009 Author Posted January 11, 2009 (edited) - Setting LODs from modman probably? - Changing the affinity from task manager is that the right approach? and are there benefits from assigning a single core to LO? - I just witnessed that i am having higher FPS (a gain of about 10) with an 8x-16x AA, than 2x-4x that i used to set it at so far ... is that normal? - anyone knows maybe what the "run game (multi)" is about in Modman? - is there maybe a static mirrors mod ? 7rooper Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 You can crank all the settings up but the water quality. If you get these value set to "normal" you'll get a significant boost in fps since you'll be most of the time flyng over fields and land.
