So I'm a longterm simulator and combat simulator enthusiast as well as strategy games (Eugen)... I'm disappointed that I built a custom computer back in 2013 that was 8 core and overpowered but still would get random terminations (probably due to cores). Anyways I just got a new MSI computer (it's shiny and lights up!) with Windows 11, Radeon RX 6600, AMD Ryzen 5700G with 16GB DDR4, 500 SSD, and 2TB HD... Not only can I not even start the engine on any airplane, but not a single Eugen game will run... And i didnt buy it to just play fortnite and minecraft. So I was wondering what prefabs work for playing DCS, and Eugen games without any issues because I haven't found one yet.

@AestheticCredit Hello,

I used a different approach.  Instead of using a standalone gaming PC, I decided to use the alienware 51 laptop.  It has i-9 processor with 32 GB RAM and 4 TB SSD.  Yes, it cost me a large sum of money, but I am happy with the decision.  As for the gaming monitor, I selected a 32-inch LG gaming monitor.

If I am using a computer or laptop, I select Dell because I have had great experiences with their products.

Tbh i dont see why DCS should not start/work on your PC (spec-vise). Of course it won`t run with 100 FPS in 4k but at least with lower to medium settings it should work fine.
I would suggest to save your money for the moment and try to fix the issues first. Maybe you'll find a solution and everything works as expected?

Rig:

Ryzen 5600X, 64GB, 10TB SDD/HDD, AMD RX 6700XT. Full custom sim-rig. Virpil Stick, Virpil Throttle, 2 Virpil Control Panels, MFD Rudderpedals, 2 MFDs, Buddyfox UFC, Ext. Mini-Keyboard, TrackIR4 (+ Lukes Clip)

Modules:

Yes. A-10CII as Main Module

Your rig should run DCS just fine in 2d. I guess there is something wrong on your side. Tbh, your old rig should probably work just fine on old settings without crash to desktop with some love and care (system clean).
Just a stupid question: Did you plug in your Monitor into the Mainboard or into the Radeon Graphics card? Driver installs up to date?

Don't forget to try to contact your PC seller and see if they can help.

My current PC is from IBuyPower. It originally shipped with a faulty GPU. Some games would randomly crash and it took me months to figure out why. When I finally called them, they immediately sent me a replacement and my PC has worked perfectly every since then.

My previous computer was custom built, but the HDD I happened to pick up was dead out of the box. I had to exchange it for a working copy.

In my experience, I'm 2 for 2 on new PC problems being down to bad hardware.

Awaiting: DCS F-15C

Win 10 i5-9600KF 4.6 GHz 64 GB RAM RTX2080Ti 11GB -- Win 7 64 i5-6600K 3.6 GHz 32 GB RAM GTX970 4GB -- A-10C, F-5E, Su-27, F-15C, F-14B, F-16C missions in User Files

I run a PC repair shop in AZ, I see iBuyPower all the time. I've had to replace parts on 2 month old iBP machines that the buyer hadn't even got to run. I'm not here to be an elitist, but iBuyPower is a real gamble with your money.

For the OP, that machine should absolutely run DCS just fine, I run it on an ASUS Strix laptop with close to those specs (Ryzen7 4800H / RTX3060) and have no issues at all. I despise Radeon cards because of their driver issues, which sounds like what you could be facing. I've had to fix enough prebuilts from major brands to know that they are not put together with care, and quite often it doesn't even seem like their assemblers know the first thing about PCs. Try updating your Radeon drivers, run your Windows Update and look for the section for drivers and grab any chipset driver updates you may find. Keep us in the loop and we will get you going.
