markturner1960 Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 (edited) Hi, I have a 2nd VR headset (Pro2) that I dont use much, as I found the G2 performed better....I have just done a fresh windows installation on my 2nd PC, which I was going to use the Pro 2 on. So the PC is super fresh, and the Pro2 set up was the first thing apart from installing Steam I have done so far. The installation seemed to go fine, until it came to room set up, when it tried to start the headset and I got the following error message: "VRmonitor.exe - System error. The code execution cannot proceed because d3dx10_43.dll was not found. Re installing may fix the problem." I installed WMRP and this says "connect headset"....even though its connected Has anyone come across this and knows what to do? I have googled but not come up with much..... Thanks... imacken Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 WMRP? Windows Mixed Reality Portal? If so, why are you installing that for the VP2? markturner1960 Posted October 4, 2022 Author Posted October 4, 2022 Thanks! Not required? So it runs purely on steam VR? Thats good to know! However, I had the issue, before I installed AMRP, as that was my first stab at why it was not working..... imacken Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 It also requires Vive Console which you can download on Steam or on the Vive web site. VP2 is NOT a Windows mixed reality headset! markturner1960 Posted October 10, 2022 Author Posted October 10, 2022 Cool, thanks! yeah, vive console is installed and working. I dont know where to go with this now, as am out of ideas..... One more thing, can it be used with openXR? System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.
imacken Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 Yes, it uses SteamVR for OpenXR runtime. markturner1960 Posted October 13, 2022 Author Posted October 13, 2022 Thx, I thought open XR meant you could stop using steamVR? Thats what it does with my G2 headset....
