How do I Change an animation duration?

My undercarriage is raising and lowering too fast.  How do I change the animation duration?
I tried copying the appropriate parts of the "mechanimation" section of the Mosquito lua, but it had no effect.

the animations are -100/100, the how it's animated is coding mater, you have to create a custom device or attache it to existing one.
