walt262 Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 I created a mission in which a flight of TU-22M3's fly to a waypoint where my flight of SU-27's are to join them at the same time. I set the two waypoints to the same time so I can escort them. I follow the speed on the HUDD but I'm always way behind the flight of TU-22M3's. I've set the time on the two waypoints the same time so I'm not sure why we don't meet at the same point at the same time.
twistking Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Maybe the TU-22s flightplan results in a speed lower than minimum speed and thus they cannot fly slow enough? My improved* wishlist after a decade with DCS *now with 17% more wishes compared to the original
Exorcet Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 The Su-27 doesn't have any kind of ToS calculator if I remember, so the speed it's telling you to fly at is probably an estimate that doesn't account for acceleration or turning to be on course. You might have to calibrate your flight time by trying to reach an earlier reference waypoint at a given time and then adjusting for the error at that initial waypoint.
