johnt7303 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Hi, I'm brand new to DCS and I bought myself dual T.16000m's and peddles primarily for space shooters but I'd also really like to get them setup to fly helicopters. I've picked up UH-1H to begin with, but it turns out I just don't have the patients or knowledge to get these setup in any decent way. There's plenty of tutorials out their for Start Citizen but I've had a hard time finding anything for UH-1H and duel T.16000m's with peddles. Is there any really cool and kind person out there that can help me out? Thanks
MAXsenna Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Why would you even try that with two sticks? Just kidding. A stick cannot be used as the collective, unless you mod it like take out the spring, and add friction so it will stay in position. But you can use the slider on the stick of course. So set one stick up as cyclic, and the slider on it, (or on the other stick), as collective. Remember to set it as a slider in the the settings, and I recommend to invert it too.Obviously setup the pedals as the pedals.Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
johnt7303 Posted October 17, 2022 Author Posted October 17, 2022 Thanks for the reply. I was kinda hung up on this idea of using dual sticks, one for collective, one cyclic. I thought it would work because I know nothing about actual helicopters. So, there's a few good conventional T.16000m setups out there. I don't have a throttle and I've seen mods are nessasary for that particular one. But I'm sure I can just get that second stick and it's slider set up in place of one for now.
MAXsenna Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Yeah, helis don't work like a space ship. So the package with stick, throttle and pedals are better suited for DCS. Play around with the slider, and you'll probably be okay. If you like helis you can always get another throttle/collective later. Cheers! Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk
