UPDATE 2024-07-08: Added Afghanistan Map

Link to download the mission: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3326657/

Hello all! DCS 2.8 brings to us a new BFM model for AI aircraft. In one word it's: AWESOME! I've put together a simple mission for you to practice your BFM skills against the re-vamped AI.

This mission lets you choose your aircraft.... Once in, you can spawn a variety AI adversaries. Each one will spawn on your nose, 7 miles and heading directly towards you. You can choose to spawn one aircraft, or spawn several at a time.

Once you've defeated an enemy, you can spawn more.

You can also jump into another jet if you'd like to continue the fight. I hope you enjoy it! Use it to get good.

VERSION 2.0 - MAJOR UPGRADE

- Multiple map support.  Now supports the NEVADA, PERSIAN GULF, SYRIA, CAUCASUS, MARIANA ISLANDS AND FALKLANDS maps.  Load any mission on any map.
- Once in-game, you can load or reload your current map, or a different one, all from within the radio menu, F10 option.
- Tankers!  If you'd like to practice air to air refueling, you can now do so in game.  Both boom and probe and drogue tankers available.
- Adjust the tanker's speed and altitude!  Use the radio menu, F10 option to adjust the tanker's vector to your preference (need lower and slower for an A-10?  No problem)

Updated to version 3.02

Adjusted Defensive BFM Scenarios to spawn bandit a bit further back.  This should help occasional issue where bandit refuses to engage.  For best results, fly straight and level until bandit engages (about 10 seconds after spawn).

Version 3.1 Updated....

3.1 Changelog:

1.  Re-designed radio menu - Nested radio menus clean up the look and functionality of the mission.

2. Changed the logic of the Defensive BFM Scenarios - The bandit will now spawn a little further out.. Combined with some scripting changes, this should allow for a more consistent engagement. It's best to spawn the defensive BFM scenario while in straight and level flight and at a constant airspeed.

3. A few under the hood changes to the triggers to make the gameplay a little smoother.

Updated to version 3.101

Some users have requested that the "Player Hit Badbuy" text message be removed... This fires every time you hit an adversary aircraft, and if you hit them with a lot of bullets, each bullet results in a text message. If you're really good, you can fill up the screen. The other request is some users didn't like the "Good Kill" voice audio or the ELT sound going off when someone ejected. So... I've re-vamped the radio menu so these things can be toggled off and on. Use the radio menu, F10 to toggle these off (they're on by default). You can toggle them back on at any time, as well.

@Sedlo

Hi. As I may have mentioned before, I really appreciate this mission set - very clever and useful. Thank you.

I went in yesterday but got an error (for the first time) - - something about needing the A4e mod loaded...??
I don't have any mods and not sure if you have any suggestions here.  Thanks.

I'll check it out, sorry, I thought I had gotten rid of it all.  It should still work, just bypass that error.  I'll look into it now.

@Keith Briscoewhich version terrain were you loading?

When I got the error, I had to click "OK", and then it exits me back to main screen for Missions.
I have all the latest updates and no mods... so not sure what is meant by "which version terrain..."

Thanks for looking at this.
