zika1234 Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Can somebody show me graphically how to program rotary wheel on throttle, to act as yellow throttle levers movement up&down (commands are pageup and pagedown)? Can I edit it to act similary as axis assignement? But i cant use it as axis, because it behaves very erratic (it moves up&down in axis calibration window) I have it set up using bandwith, but i can only manage down, medium and up positions.
andyfoot Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Don't program it in SST, leave it as the "Fall Back" option and then use the in game Controls Options to assign it. The levers don't move smoothly, they move up in notches.
andyfoot Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Just checked what I had in-game, it is set as Joy_RX, as an axis, vanilla flavour (no inverse axis, deadzone etc)
VMFA117_Poko Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 I left it only on keyboard - no assigns on HOTAS. You won't use it too many times.
AlphaOneSix Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Well, they do move smoothly, but they have "detents" which conform to the four available positions. On the X52 rotaries, AUTO corresponds conveniently to the middle position of the rotaries, which on the X52 throttle also have a detent.
crazysundog Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Yes, assign in game, it is worthwhile.... You will use it every time you cold start, and if one engine is lost during flight, it is a good idea too get all power out of the other engine. I also use it to keep my rpm's lower during long fast descents.
