geogob Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 Not a huge problem and, by far, not a priority one. Just for fun, on a level I was playing around with I put a cloud cover with a ceiling at 1000 and a thickness of 300. Density was maximum. When I flew over the top (OTT), the cloud textures where wrong. I could see wavy patterns in them. I tried to take a screenshot, but it crashed the engine. I think DCS doesn't like my windowed-multi-screen configuration. If desired, I'll try to post a fraps screenshot or a track. Which ever is more helpful. But don't waste too much time on this one... I don't see flying OTT a priority with this sim really :P But it could become important with the addition of other aircrafts. Right now, the cloud top doesn't look very good (that, appart from the wavy texture problem).

I guess that is also why it is so hardware demanding. I agree it looks odd, to say it politely. :smilewink: MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD
