[Unsure] AWACS stops reporting jamming contact's location

Is this intended, based on the latest November 2022 Update on the Viper?

 

Scenario: AWACS reporting a contact, and is populated on my HSD. FCR reporting a jamming contact.

I STT lock the chevron and launch based on the range info given my the AWACS, and it is then the contact is shown as Angels 0 at the outer edge of my HSD. AWACS stops reporting its location.
