nachinus Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 I was happily considering buying a Gladiator NXT EVO because my beloved old Saitek AV8R is ok for warbirds but not so for modern jets and switch from one to the other depending of the plane I'm flying. Just one second before clicking BUY a terrible shiver of dread ran across my spine: what about the control bindings, curves, etc? Will DCS bindings go nuts when I plug one out and the other in? Will I lose the configs of the previous one? Is there any way to make this work?

You'll just get an additional column for the new stick in the controls settings.Beware of conflicts though, as DCS maps axis by default.I have three sticks/grips, three throttles, one collective and one pair of rudders connected at the same time. I just have to remember to remove bindings whenever there's a new module. That said, I'm sure you'll retire your Saitek whenever you get a new stick. And of course you'll have to make new adjustments/curves for the new stick, that's a given!Cheers! So it is workable as long as I keep both connected. Have you ever disconnected any of those and put it back? What happens to the column? Cita That said, I'm sure you'll retire your Saitek whenever you get a new stick. Mmmmh, that's a possibility. But I really love it for warbirds and I have developed a sentimental relationship with it over the years. XD Edited November 22, 2022 by nachinus 1
MAXsenna Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 @nachinusIf you disconnect, the column will "stay" as the Config files have been made in input folder Saved Games, so the config is kept so to speak. You can then reconnect and do a refresh if hot plug is disabled, and the control will work.
