I removed glass shadows in 2.8 as in VR was a little over the top for me.

Would you mind sharing your method? I too think they are OTT in 2.8

When you use the  Persian gulf map this will work straight of the bat but if you want Caucasus  map etc. you have to go to the  Persian first not really looked into any more as I am use the gulf only at the moment.

I must say early morning on the carrier was way to much shadow effect for me kind of of silly looking in VR but now lovey also I would remove the refection's if I was you.
