Kifter1983 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Hi, I was trying out the wingmen/datalink tutorial for the Blackshark 3 and found a number of bugs: Asking a wingmen to navigate to a ingress point caused him to loose control and crash upon reaching the ingress point. Seems like the AI was struggling with altitude. It felt like perhaps the logic was asking him to hold his position at sea level, but was over somewhat hilly land. Asking a wingmen to navigate to an ingress point and attack a target caused him to navigate to the point, then hover a couple of meters off the water and sit there and not make an attempt to attack the target. Perhaps he was so low he lost line of sight? But then shouldn't the logic be that he attempts to slowly gain altitude until he either acquires los and engages the enemy or he rises a couple hundred meters, still can't acquire los and reports unable to attack? Asking a wingmen to attack an air defence target caused him to run right up to the target even though he has stand off missiles. If it wasn't a tutorial he would of just been shot down for sure. Surely any kind of 'air defence target' should always require stand off missile launches, and preferably if the wingman doesn't have any missile ammo remaining then call 'winchester' (or the Russian equivalent) and refuse the order. Asking a wingmen to attack a target causes him to acknowledge the order but then he just orbits me without ever attempting to attack the target. I suspect I selected the wrong target type, but if that's the case surely the logical thing to do is report 'unable' or 'no targets of that type found' not acknowledge the order, then orbit round me.
