FADM Stern GNSF Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I am new to this game, and have been trying to find a way to get the collective on the Saitek X52 Pro throttle, instead of the small thumb slider it puts it on. Unfortunatly, I can find no way to set it in either the X52 profile or the game mapping screen, as it doesnt allow me to pick the axis (Z i think). While I can fly this using the thumb slider, it sure makes for a sloppy ride lol. I am hoping that someone here may know how to do this, and maybe even if someone has a profile for the X52 for this game. I love this game and all it offers, but I still havent read the manual through enough times to even get to the point of being able to lock up and fire at something :-( Unlike the F4AF manual, this one has a lot of info, but lacks the "understandable flow" on "how to do..." many things. Maybe its just me lol. Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated, as our group is going to include this sim, so i better at least be able to fly a bit lol Try the Rest, then Join the Best
Chillspider Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Just open up single player. Click options and go to the controls tab. In there you will see a pull down menu with the word ALL in it. Click that and select AXIS Commands in red. From there go down to the collective control. In the Column labeled X52 click the box on the collective line and first click clear just to make sure it clears the default. Then click ADD then move your throttle it should make it the JOY_Z axis. then press ok and you should be good to go. It is set to your slider by default. And also there is the keyboard settings Collective up and Down on the keypad. You wanna set the one in the AXIS commands for the throttle.
