F18C Throttle Designator Controller Up/Down/Left/Right Bindings not working since update to v2.8

Hi all

Recently updated DCS to v2.8, since this update I am unable to Designate (Where the small diamond selects the active display in the top right of either Display IIRC MDI Displays) with the keyboard or HOTAS Throttle Coolie Switch, prior to updating I did not have this issue.

No mods installed, Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle and stick, already run the dcs_updater.exe repair command line for separate issue whis has been resolved.

I have deleted the folder FA-18C_hornet folder within the config/input folder to try to rectify this issue, I am using TARGET, but the Coolie Switch is not used within this module.

As stated even the Keyboard Bindings for the respective displays are not working ". for Down", ", for left", "/ for right", "; for Up"

TIA

You are assigning the bindings to: Sensor Control Switch - Left/right/forward etc correct?  If so I would rename your bindings .lau and let it regenerate and see if it works then.  Sounds like a binding problem of some sort

TDC moves the cursor on the MFD's but doesn't select which is active.  Sensor Control Switch (SCS) does that.

Hi Rob10

Sensor Control Switch, do you mean the Coolie Switch that's on the forward facing Right hand Throttle? (see attached Picture I'm using the Boxed Switch), I've only been playing DCS for a few months now, only had this issue since updating, the previous key bindings used ( in v2.7) are shown within the Adjust Controls Section and are highlighted correctly when pressed, however whilst in game, neither the Throttle Designated Coolie Switch nor the Keyboard bindings activate the respective MDI Displays.

Also on the HOTAS Warthog throttle quadrant as you can see from the attached picture, TDC and SCS hats/buttons are not marked.

The Key Bindings Files already have the .lua Extension (I will change the extension to .bak and reassign the bindings again)

I have the Warthog too. I assign the Sensor Control Switch to the lower-right button on the stick. What would be the DMS switch on the A-10C.

That's how you control where SOI is assigned.

Hi BuzzU

The issue I have is that even with the Keyboard Bindings I cannot set any of the MDI's as active because none of those bindings work, not even the Keyboard Bindings, I've checked the Control Options the Bindings are set (keyboard/Joystick/Throttle Quadrant) Joystick and Throttle Quadrant not at the same time though just for testing purposes.

I did not have this issue prior to Updating from v2.7 to 2.8, since the update Throttle Designator Controller , . / ; do nothing as well as the other bindings i've used. Prior to Updating DCS ,they all worked fine.

Ok After doing a little experimenting, and reading the help provided within these posts, I think I've figured it out, there was a little confusion on my part on what the POV Hats were for and what the Displays were called, Thanks everyone who offered help.
